The Minister of Development, Industry and Commerce Orlando Solórzano, will preside over the official delegation of Nicaragua that will participate in the next edition of the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV 2019), said the Cuban ambassador in that country, Juan Carlos Hernández.
The unique representation aims to incorporate small and medium-sized companies in this country, a sector that has shown great receptivity to join FIHAV 2019, the most important multisectoral exhibition of its kind in Cuba and the Caribbean region.
Hernández referred to a recent meeting with the Nicaraguan business sector that will be present at the ExpoCuba fairgrounds, in Havana, between November 4 and 8.
Within that framework, Solórzano recalled the validity of a partial scope agreement that facilitates trade between Cuba and Nicaragua, by eliminating tariffs on their respective exports.
Leaders of small and medium-sized companies expressed in that meeting their rejection of the blockade against Cuba imposed by the US government and opted for the increase in trade with the largest of the Antilles.
Some of the businessmen present presented the positive experiences they had after attending the last edition of the Fair, which they considered an important business opportunity to publicize the unique exportable offers.
Already last year Nicaragua had its own stand at ExpoCuba, which attracted the attention of both Cuban and foreign companies.
